South Hill Park Arts Centre

The economic climate has significantly affected the educational sector and adult learning, particularly creative courses, have been hit the hardest. When the Stitched Textiles courses at East Berkshire College Windsor, closed it was then decided that the ethos and legacy built by Jan Beaney and Jean Littlejohn must continue – and WSTA was born.

Headed by Amarjeet Nandhra and Dawn Thorne, WSTA runs a programme of Mentoring Schemes, City & Guilds Courses and the Advanced Textile Workshop. Further details can be found on this web site.

Since September 2011, WSTA has been based at South Hill Park Arts Centre, a beautiful building surrounded by stunning grounds. The studio space is light and ideal for getting creative and making a mess! The Centre, who fully appreciates the value of what we offer, has embraced WSTA. We have the best of both worlds, an independent and flexible organisation hosted by an enthusiastic centre that celebrates the Arts.

At WSTA, we believe that the sense of well-being achieved when studying the arts and crafts can transform the quality of life, for individuals and communities.  Our aim is to provide a range of stimulating and exciting courses that stretch and challenge you.
