Amarjeet Nandhra

Amarjeet is a practising artist, currently working with print, mixed media and stitch. Trained in Graphic Communication,her qualifications include Diploma in Art & Design, C&G Embroidery and Printmaking, Diploma in HE Stitched Textiles, BA (Hons) Creative Arts(1st class) Trainers and Assessors award, Certificate in FE teaching

As a freelance tutor and lecturer, she has over twenty years of teaching experience and extensive knowledge of printmaking and stitched textiles. She has taught a range of courses in printmaking, mixed media and textiles, at H.E Diploma level, City & Guilds and in Adult Education. In 2012, she co-founded the Windsor School of Textile Arts, also currently teaches at The City Lit institution in London.



Dawn Thorne

Dawn is a practicing artist who is passionate about design and textiles. As well as co-founding WSTA, she gives talks, lectures and workshops around the country and abroad, she has over elevenyears of teaching experience.   Prior to setting up WSTA, Dawn co-taught the Advanced Textile Workshop and City and Guilds Embroidery at East Berkshire College, Windsor.

She is an active member of the Society of Designer Craftsmen and curates the Society’s annual showcase exhibition: Designer Crafts at the Mall. Dawn’s first book: Transparency in Textiles was published in 2009 by Batsford. Originally trained in pharmacy, Dawn has since gained City and Guilds and Dip. HE qualifications in Embroidery and Stitched Textiles , and a BA (Hons) in Creative Arts –Textiles, as well as a teaching certificate and silversmith / jewellery and printmaking modules.
